 The Sustainable
Development Networking Programm
(SDNP), Bangladesh is striving to connect Bangladesh with
the World Wide Web for safer, cleaner and more productive life,
environment and sustainable development in Bangladesh.
A safer and cleaner
life in Bangladesh means among others, access to adequate, clean
and safe water. This year’s theme of the Environment day on June
5, 2003 “
Water - Two Billion People are dying for it !”
therefore rings a familiar bell.
Water is a bounty but
not at all times or places and some time also a curse in
Bangladesh calling for its sustainable, efficient and cost
effective management in all it’s uses. On the eve of the
World Environment Day 2003, we at SDNP are therefore very
happy to introduce you to a sample of our information on water
in a CD which we hope will be useful for many purposes. This is
Volume 3 in the sequence of CDs we have released in the past
years.
Any suggestion for
improvement in terms of content and design of the CD will be
