WSSD National Steering Committee

A meeting of the National Steering committee for the preparation of National Assessment Report on Agenda-21 for submission to the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) will be held on 22 Nov., 2001 Thursday at 11am in the Conference Room of Ministry of Environment and forest, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka. The meeting will be chaired by the Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forest. Distribution List

The terms of reference of the National Steering Committee will be:

• to guide the preparation of National Assessment Report on Agenda-21

• to constitute a Working Committee for researching and drafting the national assessment

• to approve budget for preparation report

• to recommend the final report for approval by the Government

The Steering Committee may co-opt other member as needed

the committee will meet one in every two months for assessing for the progress of work and to provide regular guidance

WSSD National Sub-Committee

In view of the decision taken in the meeting of the National Steering Committee for the preparation of National Assessment Report on Agenda-21 held ion 22.11.2001, following subcommittee has been constituted: 

The terms of reference of the sub-committee:

• Scoping and methodology for researching and preparing the National Assessment Report on Agenda-21.

• The sub-committee will submit the Report within 15 days to the National Steering Committee for the preparation of National Assessment Report on Agenda-21.
