PrepCom II is scheduled to be held at UN Headquarters in New York from 28 January - 8 February 2002. This meeting will start the substantive assessment of progress at the global level by undertaking the comprehensive review and assessment of progress achieved in the implementation of Agenda 21 and the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21.

Early in the course of PrepCom II, a two-day multi- stakeholder dialogue with all nine major group sectors is planned. The topics of the stakeholder dialogue will be based on the outline of the Secretary-General’s overall review report.
