World Environment Day National Programme

World Environment Day is going to be observed in Bangladesh along with other nations of the world on 5th June, 2002. In observance of the day, The Ministry of Environment and Forest and the Department of Environment have undertaken an elaborate programme.

Forum of Environmental Journalists of Bangladesh

The Forum of Environmental Journalists of Bangladesh (FEJB), with support from Ministry of Environment and Forest and UNDP, is organising an Open Discussion on “Environment of Dhaka Metropolitan City” at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, Sherebangla Nagar, Dhaka, on June 5, 2002 at 3.00 pm to mark the World Environment Day. Communication Minister Barrister Nazmul Huda will be the Chief Guest.

SDNP Special Programme

SDNP, Bangladesh shall take part in the national programme in rally and Environement Fair. In addition it will run, in collaboration with the National Press Club, an Information Corner at Club premises.

A CD ROM containing WSSD, World Environment Day 2002 Special, Current Issues and Sustainable Development Related Information will be released by SDNP Bangladesh on the same day.
